Best Handheld Video Camera Brand?
First topic message reminder :
Hello,
I wanted to know if anyone has every had good luck with a particular Handheld Video Camera/Video Recorder brand? I have used a couple but never owned one. Is there a brand anyone has used that they liked? Any that anyone has disliked? If so why did you dislike it?

Re: Best Handheld Video Camera Brand?
I'm less knowledgeable about cameras, but I know Canon has some nice quality cameras/camcorders. My dad, who uses cameras a lot, has owned a bunch of Canon camcorder. He uses a Canon Vixia model number I can't remember.
I use a camcorder by a brand called DXG. It's cheaper, but full featured and works pretty well, so maybe it's a good budget brand?

Yeah Canon is good company for cameras. That is their specialty. I have never heard of that other brand. How much did it cost?

Yeah we have heard of this Sony. As mentioned by Brandon Canon's are one of the best camera companies out there. I have known quite a few people who have had one atleast once.
@1mtvfan You have a new video camera right? You speak of it in the train sets thread.
Re: Best Handheld Video Camera Brand?
I don't quite remember. Somewhere from $100-$200.Brandon wrote:Yeah Canon is good company for cameras. That is their specialty. I have never heard of that other brand. How much did it cost?

Lol you can post the link here, it is not advertising. Advertising is only for if you own the radio station, or the website. If you dont own it or work for it you can post it just so everyone can see what you mean.
Re: Best Handheld Video Camera Brand?
Advertising is only frowned upon if it is not relating to the discussion. If it is related to the discussion or will push the discussion ahead, there's nothing wrong with it.
And Brandon, I actually couldn't find a site for DXG. :/

Exactly, as long as your not posting links every 3 posts and the links themselves relate to the topic or descussion at hand it is not advertising.
How about a webpage with information on it? Doesn't have to official (from the company) either.

I said you could 2 times... It is not against the rules to post a link if it is relavent to a congersation, topic or desicussion.
Re: Best Handheld Video Camera Brand?
well then, i will post the link here
http://www.gopro.com, but the version i have is already outdated, so if any of you are interested, go for the higher versions if you can, but keep in mind, it is not advisable to film in low light areas, unless your camera has night vision. also, the gopro cameras, no matter the version, need an mp4 compatible media player, so if you have windows XP or lower, the gopro video are not going to play.

Windows xp is compatible of playing mp4's. Just have to download a newer media player is all.
