Today was my first day back at school, this semester I am learning ASL (Amercian Sign Language) and Political Science .

That is awesome Brandon. I thought you were learning about computers. That is what I seen from a post from your mom

That is my major yes, but you have to take humantiies and other non relatd classes before you get to your major classes. So I picked 2 things that interest me.

Sign language could make a good minor, as there is always a need for them, and interpreters make good money from what I hear.

Sign language is definitely a cool thing to learn, so keep at it Brandon.

That is awesome Brandon. I do agree with sign language is always good since you can communicate to people that way. If that what you choose unless you are choosing into going into a computer related job after finishing up college. But it is always good to have different options depending on what you are looking for or what interests you the most

any job will allow you to use sign Language tho it is optional in some cases i My self i grew up around deaf people so i know a little bit of Sign Language just basic words in communicating with the Deaf cuz i was apart of a water Ski club back in the 1990s and we had to learn some sign Language but it was the bare Basics tho

Well some jobs you may never encounter a need for it, however, it is definitely a good skill to have as you will never know when you might need it.

that's cool i just know the basics of sign and i never really learned the rest but eventually i might buy an actual book to study more on it and learn abit more cuz i never know when i will need it

Book can help, but Youtube is way better for learning sign to be honest.

That is awesome Brandon. I hope works out for you if is in computers or ASL. Whatever pays you the big bucks doing what you love doing. That is always the best when you love doing your job if it is working with computers or with people with ASL. That is my thoughts

Totally agree Josh, no point in making big money at a job if your miserable doing the job, so you have to find a career you find yourself happy.

my first job i had was a Janitor i hated it and it took up all of my summer and while it did pay good and i was bringing in checks this was back in the late 1990s when i had to get a summer job well that didn't last long i got fired cuz i hated it getting up every morning going to work it was a drag and it was basically before my 10th grade year of high school so

You were a Janitor, wow doesn't seem like your kind of job. And no one likes getting up early, but gotta do what you gotta do sometimes.

I agree with you Brandon. You got to love the job you are doing and also happy to do the job you did pick for working. I have had so many jobs but I finally found the right job for me. It is good to have a lot of different experiences with different jobs. But if you know the right job you want to do then stay with that job. That is my thoughts

I didn't like my job at all when i had one plus it was a summer job

I have had many jobs before. Some of them I did like at first then I did like them at all. It was good to try to different jobs but you got to find the right job that like or even love doing as a job. I hope Brandon does find that when he is looking for a job

I don't dislike my current job, it's good for the time being. The pay just won't be sufficient in the long term though.

Very true Brandon. But it is good you don't like your current job. I can't remember it was at Wal Mart or another store. Been a while since I remembered where you worked. But I am glad you like your current job as it is good for you right now

I currently work at an office supply store called Staples. They are a big box chain here in the USA. Not sure if you have then there or not.
