Trouble Getting Views On Ustream?

I think myself, and many others have noticed when broadcasting on Ustream you get very little views. One of the main reasons is because large events occur on Ustream. Sometimes its a UFC match, in July they streamed the court appearance on James Holmes and the Colorado shooting. But there are many radio stations on Ustream. Those radio stations are put into a category all together. Most of them are featured in the morning and are in a playlist called "The Morning Buzz" where they feature the morning shows on that particular station. If you can get a hold of Ustream ask them in a polite way if you can be pushed up some in the Ustream lists or maybe do the best to advertise your station. I personally would NOT stream on there. It is a great site, they offer a free program where you can mixer your video, but overall you don't get many views unless you're holding a big event, the launch of something highly anticipated, or what not.

I tried ustream the thing I like about it is you can record a whole hours worth of show and still have tons of room left, But the viewers is the down side, they do a horrible job at featuring people. Honestly. So I would and wouldnt broadcast on there unless I do plenty of advertising a week ahead, than i might.

Speaking of advertising, Ustream also has many many ads. After watching a stream for awhile you get a ad, than another ad, and so on. Good thing I have AdBlock for Chrome.

one can just turn their speakers off, that's what always for for me on other sites, but i don't know why the all have to advertise so much
