Why does radio play out Music?

First topic message reminder :

hello all,

I wanted to know why does the Radio like to play out music so much? I am not going to buy the album when it is stuck in my head if that is what they think. They should play the same tune every 10 minutes! It is annoying (in my opinion and UN-necessary anyone else think this?

not all of them do that, my local oldies station almost never plays the same songs more than once a day, but the one station that Needs to go off the air is the Con's propaganda network

Well oldies and Jazz stations are the exception, because they no longer make new songs for those genres, therefore it is no longer about making money for the artist(s).

Such is mostly true, but people still need to be paid.

So true, that is why I avoid listening to the radio whenever and whenever possible.

depends on the channel, some only play one song once a day

Most Pop stations and stations that play modern music don't though.

sure they do, but it's not music they play, especially if it's the same dreck and garbage played 5 or 10 times a day

Well what they play starts out as music, but because they play it so much it becomes garbage, if becomes like "OK ENOUGH THIS STUPID SONG ALREADY". Lol

When you can hear a song playing in your head when the song isn't on, you know its played out.

oldies are music, it's the best music there is

Yes, I know that. Though I don't know why people are willing to listen to the same stuff over and over. The listeners are the ones who keep letting them do it, if the listeners all tell them to play something else we wouldn't have the problems we have with radio playing music out.

I hate it. I only ever listen to one radio station because of it and that station doesnt play stuff out and mixes up the tunes, which is why I love them and listen to nothing else. Atleast nothi g else music wise, every now and then maybe I will tune in to New Jersey 101.5 for traffic or news or something for a few minutes, but that is about it.

that's what there's many choices of stations, although i think there;'s a lot more choices where i live then there is in the USA

I am sure I have mentioned this at some point in the topic already, but I do hate that they do that very and wish they would stop doing so. Though I doubt they ever will.

why do people not listen to me? if you don't like the music, change the station
