Still looking through my computer, but no luck with finding any sound mixers on board.

there is only one way to fix it, one has to keep tinkering until they get it right

Or they don't do it that way, but instead do it the smart way: have a test show, digaanosis the issue and then fix it.

only way to know how to fix it is to tinker to see what the problem is

No, you dont tinker, once the problem is figured out, you will know precisely how to fix it. No 'tinkering' needed.

granted, but one has to tinker to fix the trouble sometimes, as it often requires a little tweak or two

the issue is almost solved, just have to install the codec and it'll work fine
