Minor Updates, Features and upgrades

Hello Broadcasting Duo Users,

This thread will serve as a means for small updates and minor new features to the site. We will still have a separate announcement/topic for the big things. This is just for the things we do not need to create a separate announcement for.

The following minor updates have taken place:

1. Broadcasting Duo Favicon restored and replaced. I have made a brand new one and it has been added (you may notice the green BD in your browser).
2. Quote text color has been modified to white. The text should now be easier to read.
3. Facebook like system has been activated.

I agree that white font should be considered with a very dark background. With the light backgrounds the black font should be used. As one ages like I have reading becomes a bit difficult and colors are very important.

Hello BD Users:

As of today the following minor updates have taken place:

1. The background color was changed to gray, this was done (based on our latest forum review) to make the forum easier on the eye.
2. The Most active posters this week widget has been activated!

Besides our posting contest to give away smart coins that is all for today!

The following minor features have been added:

Members should now see a small drop down box on their posts. It will say Mood, you can use this feature to express how are feeling at that time, it can change per post. If any questions please let an admin know so we can answer them for you. I will try to release a tutorial on this feature soon.
I would like to thanks @Samantha Twisted Mods and Ange Tutuer for all of their hard work in creating and releasing this feature (on phpbb2 as well).
You may also notice if you post a youtube video using the Youtube icon, that the video has been resized and centered to fit the post as well.

A new Shop has been opened in Broadcasting Duo's Duo Shop, be sure to visit Ikerepc GFX Shop to support it and keep it alive.

New Emoticons/Smilies have been added to Broadcasting Duo, these are more Broadcasting related, when you reply to a post look for a drop down box in the Emoticons box find the ones marked 'Broadcasting'. The new pm button has also been updated. Thanks @Ikerepc for the button!

Hello Broadcasting Duo Users:

Today some MAJOR bugs were fixed regarding Broadcasting Duo's Mood feature, members should now see a small drop down box below each of their posts, you can select a Smiley/Emoticon to fit how you feel at the time of the post. You may notice there will 2 of these fields:

1 will be in your profile (Please do not use that one)
The other will be in each post (Use this one).

I will be creating a support topic regarding this soon.

Hello everyone,

Today a bug regarding the topic title text color was fixed, the text will now appear white, this matches our theme quite nicely and a lot better then the blue we have had for so long!

I also merged 2 categories and sections together: The Audio & Video Software Section has now been merged with the Audio/Video & Photo Platforms/Software Section. This was done to help improve the organization of BD, so now it the organization is even better then before!

The following minor updates have taken place:

The topic icons ('solved','Pro-Admin','Working On','Important') will now appear in the topic itself and not just in forum (a big thanks to Ange Tutuer for his assistance and guidance in getting these to appear).
Lastest topics widget has been re-enabled.
A tutorials section has been added, the first tutorial has been completed. https://www.broadcastingduo.com/t426-how-to-create-a-new-topic .

A tutorial has been written and published, this explains how to reply to a topic on Broadcasting Duo: https://www.broadcastingduo.com/t452-how-to-reply-to-a-topic we hope you find it useful and more tutorials are to come.
Icons have been added to the following sub-categories and forums:
-Audio Recording Softwares
-Photo Storage Platforms
-Photo Editing Softwares
-Xsplit
-Adobe Flash Media Encoder

Those are all the minor updates for now, more are to come soon though, don't worry.

Minor update:

The tagging system on Broadcasting Duo (@) has (this was previously restricted to VIP Members and Staff for the longest time) been expanded to all registered users on the site. This decision was made because we felt that the feature was well enough known to users on the site now and the feature is no longer that special anymore, so due to these reasons it was decided to expand it do now all users can use this feature.


To someone simply put (@) and then their username.
So it goes like this:
@"Username"

Example of its use (as it will appear in the post):
@Brandon
