Favorite AM Radio Stations?

Hello everyone,

Everyone can post there favorite AM Radio Stations here, there are a lot of sports stations, news stations and even a few music ones as well.

Which ones do you like?

i have no favorite am station my old fave one went to modern FM and plays nothing but garbage

Oh well sorry to hear that.

I also don't really have a favorite station. AM radio is on the decline I feel. I only listen to the am band every once and awhile to listen to sports games or commentary if I am in my car driving for awhile and fm is getting repetitive with their content.

Other then that I don't listen to stations on am much anymore.

fm seems to be the norm today, as Am radio is nothing but yacking

Yeah there is alot of talk radio show on am these days.

that's why most people are switching to FM, few enjoy a constant gab session

Only stations that are on the am band are usually sports stations that have games on and talk sports. So sports fans may listen to AM sometimes for sports talk shows, because fm has few of those.

Basically, I believe AM band is for talk and sports radio and FM is the place to go for Music and talk radio.

well, it would seem most am stations do nothing but talk and talk and talk all day.

The only one I do listen to some times is AM 1140. They play a good mix of music along with other talk shows too

I disagree with you mtv, there are still a number of radio stations that still broadcast on the AM dial

Yeah most of the am stations I ever listen to are sports talk shows.

It is mostly 1140 AM that I do listen to some times. But it is mostly some music and other shows. I do listen to FM stations more since they mostly play music apart from the commericals too

My favorite AM radio station went out of business a long time ago so I don't listen to radio's AM band anymore. I did manage to find an AM station's signal on the FM band however.

A lot of the AM band is like as Tester said, sports and other talk shows.

My fav AM radio station used to play a lot of classic music actually. But, as I said before, it shut down quite a while ago.

I admit I don't listen to am much anymore except for occasional sports game.

nope cus the farther away from the mountain we are the less of a chance we have of picking up AM during the day the AM and FM antennas are on a mountain  called south mountain and that is a ways away from here FM is good anytime and it is a stronger signal.

I don't listen to AM very much at all. Mostly FM stations on the radio. Since AM doesn't have too many radio stations. There is more radio stations on the FM than there is on AM. Got more choices of music to listen to FM. But I only listen to the radio very much at all just some times

I will admit that I have not listened to any AM radio station for quite some time now but only because of my computer, as it interferes with the radio signal.

i use to listen to AM radio when there where some good stations on that band most of the FM stations did also broadcast over AM as well but so much is not the case anymore use to be back then tho now it's all digital and online so not much in the way of AM radio anymore and that was when i could pick up AM Radio.
