How often do you watch tv?

First topic message reminder :

Just as the title says, how do you watch tv? I mean really sit down and watch tv? Everyday? Every other day? Once a week? Twice a week? Every other week? Once or twice a month? When you sit down and genuinely watch tv, what do you watch? Sports? A tv show, numerous tv shows? Movies? What?


Feel free to tell us all these and whatever else related to this subject you want to discuss, in this topic.

I don't usually watch the news at all. Just some times since it can be good but most of the time it is just a lot of bad news. I do mostly watch shows on the PVR like basketball shows or food shows or my other favorite TV shows. I do rarely watch live TV just some times when I feel like it. But I do love to turn it to The Light which is a music channel on String Ray Music. Other than that I do watch The Weather Network to see what is going with the weather around the world. That is mostly it for me

I watched tv for the first time in a while the other day, I watched Yankeeography, then Shark Tank and Undercover boss.

I do love Undercover Boss as it is a good show. I don't watch either one of those shows you mentioned Brandon. Undercover Boss is a show I do like to watch with the new seasons they come out with

Yes Undercover boss is an interesting show. Another show I find good is Shark Tank. Has anyone ever watched that show?

I have seen a lot of reality TV shows but didn't like too much of them. I watch the following programs though

Deadliest Catch
American Pickers 
Rust Valley Restorers
Pawn Stars
Highway Through Hell

I am not too sure if Pawn stars will be on for much longer due to the death of "The Old Man" and Corey's departure tbh.

Hey everyone,
The plan to cut some TV channels to save some money is moving forward in my place. Nothing has been confirmed as yet though.

I can understand that move Art, as Cable is crazy expensive these days.

As I said before, our most recent cable bill from BellMTS was almost $300 CDN.
Such action has become needed (according to my parents anyway).

dam that's crazy for the bill to be that high we don't even pay that much for Directv

This bill is for all three of the services that my parents receive from BellMTS (cable, internet & phone).
In a previous incarnation (called Bell), it has been known to overcharge.
Latest update on the channel cuts is that nothing has been done... yet.

Art i pay almost that much for all 3  services also,  been thinking of dropping it and just keep the internet.

From what I've been told, having a usable phone is an essential part of life. 
One can do without cable and internet though (and I happen to know someone who doesn't have internet).

No I haven't seen Shark Tank before. Undercover Boss is over now as I did miss the last episode of it. I am sure I could watch it On Demand if I wanted to. The new season of Survivor starts coming Wednesday and I am looking forward to watching it. I did watch DC's Legends Of Tomorrow On Demand since I missed it when I recorded it. There was some commercials but I seen the whole episode. I do have a lot of stuff to watch on the PVR just to find some time to watch all of it

I myself have chosen to reduce the amount of time I spend watching tv now due to the world's current crisis (as of 10:35 AM CST on 3/28/2020).

I agree with you Art, aside from Walking Dead on Sundays, I been only watching Netflix, Disney+ and Hulu for entertainment.

Also you should check out Shark Tank if they have it over there. 2 of the 'Sharks' are from Canada .

My twin brother was a dedicated fan of TWD until the departure of Andrew Lincon.
I did manage to watch the pilot episode of a spin-off of this show called Fear the walking Dead, but haven't watched it since.

"Shark Tank" is/was inspired by a Canadian show called Dragon's Den, which may explain why there are two Canadian business people are on it.

Such is only a guess on my part.

I have been watching a good amount of TV. It has to happen when you can't leave home unless you need to go out for groceries or something to eat. But I do find other things to do apart from playing basketball games on PS2 or listening to music. That can also keep me busy at home apart from chores too

I am still trying hard to avoid the TV at present. And such will continue until all of the BS currently in the world dies down.

Yes it seems it is all over the TV. Even on The Weather Network. I don't watch live too much at all. I don't even watch the news at all. I just mostly record different TV shows and just fast forward all of the commericals including the ones that have to do with the current situation right now. I have been also been watching live steams on Facebook which are also good and encouraging too
