lake trip pics?

First topic message reminder :

is anyone still interested in the the pics of the lake trip that ttfan and i went on?

Once again all I can say is that nothing is guaranteed at this time. Recent discussions have determined that the trailer park's public bathroom and shower building will be closed however. Naturally this means that everyone will need to use the bathrooms and showers in their own trailers.

Sadly there still isn't much happening with the railroad as of 7:30 PM CDST on 6/30/2020 but, unsurprisingly, the loading and transport of grain and malt barley continues.

Unfortunately there hasn't been a lot of talk regarding this matter but such is mostly due to it only being July. Even though I dislike talking about it, all of the virus bs in the world is also a factor.

Hi all, got an interesting update to share today!

As of 2:45 PM CDST on 7/5/2020, there has been some talk of taking this trip in July instead of August as usual. I suspect that such talk has happened due to a crisis that my family is having at present, but I honestly don't know for sure. I'll try and keep you all informed though.

Hello everyone, got some breaking news!!!

As of 6:30 PM CDST on 7/8/2020, its been confirmed that I will be going on what may be my 1st lake trip of summer 2020 at some point next week. I am unsurprisingly excited about this, as I enjoy spending time there.

Cool even though it is a bit early. Keep us updated on if it happens or not.

The cancellation of a major summer festival due to virus-related concerns has allowed the trip to take place. My family's current crisis is still ongoing (as of 2:25 PM Central Daylight Saving Time on 7/13/2020) however, and issues related to this may force the trip to be delayed or canceled outright. I will do what I can to keep you all informed regardless.

No other changes associated with this matter as of 2:55 PM Central Daylight Saving Time on 7/14/2020, so things are working out long enough for me to spend this coming weekend at the lake. I'm looking forward to this trip actually!!!

Hi all! I've been back from my trip for less than an hour now (as of 5:15 PM CDST on 7/20/2020) but wasn't able to post in this BD thread until now. I had a great time on my trip but did have the following problems.

1.) The heat was enough to make me drench at least one t-shirt in sweat.

2.) a BIG storm on Friday night brought a tree down and forced the owners of the trailer park to turn a power circuit off for safety reasons. 

3.) Continued issues with the battery of my iPhone 5c meant that I was unable to take photos of the downed tree or the trip itself.

If anyone wants to know, the power circuit was back on again by 10:00 PM that night and I am going to try and get my phone issues sorted out at some point this coming week. There is also a plan for me to take another trip to this trailer park at some point in August, but the details of this need to be ironed out first.

Wow sounds like you had quite the trip. Should have brought a charger with you to deal with the battery issues.

Did Charles go with you this time as well?

I did bring the charger for my phone (which is not an official Apple charger but works with the iPhone 5c), but this did not help much. Charles did go on this trip, as he always does. He will also be going on the trip in August.

Well then your phone definitely is need of a new battery then.

Unfortunately Charles didn't take any pics.

I have received a new battery for my phone now (as of 3:55 PM CDST on 7/25/2020) but will not be going back to the lake until sometime in the 2nd week of August.
