Yeah I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and got to spend alot of time with their family, I sure did.


This topic will remain open for a couple more days in case anyone wants to share any stories on what they did on christmas and what they may have gotten tor christmas.

P.s I have taken down the countdown to christmas decoration since christmas is now past, the snow will stay up until a couple days past New Years.

good idea to take them down, but the word i think you need to use is "passed" not past, however, i would like to share the hope that everyone got the gifts they asked for, I sure got a lot of neat stuff as well as what i asked for

yes indeed, i got some great stuff from my mom and dad, sister and @hottmama2008. I'm thrilled that I finally got a SHAEF patch, because I've been looking a long time for one. Got nothing from @TigerTankfan, but it's the giving they say that is more fun. because i gave @TigerTankfan a neat flag for a gift, so he owes me a big one for next year. @hottmama2008 still has to get her gifts that i sent her but i hope she likes them all. And i gave my new cousin and sister each a beanie boo.

If you all want to see what a SHAEF patch looks like, I will post a pic of it, or you can all google it

here's what my new SHAEF patch looks like guys



here's a pair of gifts I got  from @hottmama2008


a beanie boo clip i call Slick jr


slick jr with the standard size beanie boo fox called slick

I also got some more train equipment, some candy form my mom and dad, and younger brother, a pair of wallets, a bag of "scrubbies" a shirt, a building brick fox, a new York key ring, a pair of drink cozies  and another neat patch from @hottmama2008 and her mom

yes indeed, now just got to program the new locos for easier operation.

turns out the patch i thought was a SHAEF patch isn't actually a SHAEF patch, it turns out to be a patch for the USAREUR, US ARmy EURope, so I'm a bit disappointed, and may remove it from my jacket and my SHAEF patch search continues really torn about removing it, because my sister gave me this patch as a gift

update, have removed the USAREUR patch from my jacket, even though i didn't want to, i had to, the USAREUR is still active and it's not allowed for non members to display rank or patches for active units of the US military of any branch, but i haven't the heart to tell my sister that it's not the right patch i was looking for.

i can't have the patch for an active unit in public display, the USAREUR is an active unit, so it's not allowed for me to have it on my jacket, plus it's a SHAEF patch i'm looking for, not a USAREUR patch, so it's back to the waiting game on this like i have to do for my train set landscaping work to start

]further update, @djmarverlousmart has found and purchased an actual SHAEF patch for me, so i am pleased about it, so i owe him BIG for this, but i am working on sending him a parcel of badges and stuff for him, but unfortunately, i won't see the patch prob till late march  

Wow interesting off topic discussions here. Interesting looking pictures there. It is still the new year and I looks like Charlie is looking forward to Snaef which was in those pictures
