Why you don't add year when post / thread is posted?

If it is not displaying for you, you need to update the time and date format in the prefrences in your profile.

Tester is correct, that sort of thing is set by users themselves in their profiles. Change date and time format in your profile prefrences and this should be fixed.

It is the site default, problem is, the site default only applies to guests. Anyone signed in will have it displayed how ever it is set in their profile.

If you log out, like I just did in the screenshot, you will see the year does indeed show:


I don't know what the default for profile settings is, but there is no way for me to change such in the admin panel unfortunatelly.

I am also going to move this to the support section, because this is more of a support topic then a suggestion.

The reason it isn't by default would be for a various of reasons. One being the browser you are using, version, and software / hardware for the forum itself. A lot goes into making a website what it is and small details like that can be affected when some changes are made. So in this instance, it isn't a default setting and has to be chosen.
