Camup General Discussion

First topic message reminder :

Hello everyone,

I make this topic today to help us get a discussion on Camup.tv going.

Camup is a pretty good site, it has both html5 and flash video players, a decent chat, free stream keys and even guest cams (though you have to become a 'donator' to activate this now)

Do any of you guys use Camup? How do you like it? I will provide my experience with it in the next post.

That's cool that Camup has a working recording feature now .

It looks like they may have changed the homepage player so that you can toggle any cast you want now as well.

yep they change it out every now and then to keep things fresh unlike other sites where it looks all the same so camup's home page does change from time to time

It also lets each caster have more of an opportunity for their show to be seen by others, since people dont have to leave the homepage to try different shows.

and yes it does and they don't play favoritism with shows either like ivlog does shows actually get noticed more on camup then i would say any other site out there now and i been casting there since 2017 and i can tell you it's a nice community of casters

Yes and the feature system gives every show a bit of airtime .

I also love how you put in custom emotes into the chat as well .

I tried to do a show on there today (8/29/2019) but audio issues forced me to cancel the show.

Tech issues are the worst there Tigertankfan.

lucky he now has it fixed for next week

Yes, you are correct BG. I have since found what the issue was and made the changes needed to ensure that it doesn't happen again... at least for a while anyway.

it's always good to sort out issues before going live i do that all the time even before i go live i check my levels make sure my webcam is working ect. and always making sure my mixer don't take a dump and hope that it continue's to work every show there is alot that i do to keep things going show wise when i do shows on camup

Yep, hopefully your audio issues are sorted now, though maybe you should do a test show to make sure before your main show Thursday.

I'm sure that everyone on here knows this already, but there is a rumor that Camup will be closing down in June 2020 going around now (as of 11/12/2019 anyway). I'm still not entirely sure why this might be happening, but it may have something to do with staff interest.

It is up in the air, but the owner has confirmed that there is a possibility it could shut down. It will be up to a couple staff members whether they want to keep it alive or not.

ya we don't know what's going to happen with camup yet i do agree with brandon it could possibly shutdown but we won't know until june and that's 7 months away yet let's just have fun for now and worry about it when we get to June of 2020 for now our main focus is to do the best shows we can do for now

For the time being I have decided to just enjoy the site and try to promote the site when and where I can. It's all we can do anyway you know?

I agree Brandon, we need to try and do what we can to keep Camup going for as long as possible.

i also agree but at this point in time we need to focus on the moment and wait and see what happens in January when they make an announcement on there facebook page.

Yep and the holiday special on Camup should be fantastic again this year.

so @BlackScorpion, you have been tuning in to BGRN on Camup for a bit now, what do you think of the site?

I actually like it, seems to have a community type feel to it, everyone from others show, show up to yours, which is cool.  Site is easy to navigate. I really like it.
