Re: Which Speakers
Personally I have not owned a pair of speakers in awhile, but I hear both Bose and Altec Lansing make great speakers.
Re: Which Speakers
Yes Bose make great speakers, which i use, i have a Bose Accustimass Surround sound system, makes it feel like you in the movies when i turn them on. Was wondering if anyone has any cheaper options since it will be in the garage.Brandon wrote:Personally I have not owned a pair of speakers in awhile, but I hear both Bose and Altec Lansing make great speakers.

Re: Which Speakers
i have a Pair of Radio Shack 10 inch PA Speakers that can be used for home audio use but man can they crank when i blast them
Re: Which Speakers
I got a small pair of Sony speakers, from one of those set unit's, i kept the speakers because they sound great for such a small factor, i just picked up for a great price (of free) a set of Marantz sp103 these things sound awesome. 10"woofers, 4"midrange and 3"twitters connected together this set rocks the garage when i crank them, feel bad for my neighbors... These are the one's i got, this is an image taken from ebay, to show the exact model i have.

Yeah , thanks but no thanks will keep my week system and annoy the neighbors instead of the cops I honestly don't even need them, the little Sonys speakers i have do a great job alone, now these two monstrous size speakers the garage walls do kinda rumble, but i tend to keep the noise down to a certain level. . I have an old Sansui 5000x receiver, i use run them, they push only 55 watts per channel, which according to my wife is too dam loud, i also have a Yamaha HTR-5830 As a backup, it pushes 110 watts per channel. Like i stated before , i'm gonna create a sound studio in the garage, top record and play music and possibly broadcast from. (Still playing around with the idea.) I would need to create a room in the corner and insulate it enough for me to use it in the winter time. 8'x 12 would be the size.

Re: Which Speakers
The only speakers that I have at the moment are a pair of Logitceh computer speakers. They are small but have decent sound and I like them for this.

Re: Which Speakers
I am always using earbuds or headphones when I listen to music out of respect to my neighbors.

Re: Which Speakers
10 inch speakers that depends my radio shack speakers they take up about the full cabinet and i also have a horn Driver on mine as well so when you think about it it really all depends on how big the actual cabinet is for the speakers sometimes the woofers will look larger then the cabinet so it's all about the cabinet size for the speakers more then anythingbgradionetwork wrote:BlackScorpion wrote:I got a small pair of Sony speakers, from one of those set unit's, i kept the speakers because they sound great for such a small factor, i just picked up for a great price (of free) a set of Marantz sp103 these things sound awesome. 10"woofers, 4"midrange and 3"twitters connected together this set rocks the garage when i crank them, feel bad for my neighbors...
