Chatbox Box Glitches, Support and Suggestions (ONLY TOPIC)

Hello everyone,

We realize that we have installed a new Chat box on Broadcasting Duo (BD) and that this new chat box will take some learning. We also realize it will take some tinkering to get working 100%. We are committed to solving, fixing any problem, answering any questions, resolving any concerns, adding as many suggestions as we can. All this can be placed in this thread. Report any glitches in the software as well so we can fix it. Remember if you do not tell us something wrong, then we can not fix it.

The updated and current list of bugs is:

Known bugs wrote:- Online list broken
- Merge message option broken - (FEATURE REMOVED)
- Archives turning themselves on and off.
- disable timeout a bit sketchy
- possible PM problems, should be fine, but don't discuss any really private matters.
- The dropdown list that appears when right clicking a username is broke.
- hooks and plug ins making use of hooks do not work. Hooks have been removed for now. - (FEATURE REMOVED)
- The chatbox is experiencing a glitch when using the Mozilla Firefox browser. It is a FireFox related issue. LG (AWC) Admin is working on it.
-Chatbox messages not appearing in the chat (only a black bar with the time and username).
-Sound feature asks your browser to download an un necessary add on. - (FEATURE REMOVED)
-When chatting in another chatroom (or tab) messages appear in the public chatroom instead.
-Chatbox buttons not appearing in awc (Broadcasting Duo Specific issue).
-Chatbox Commands do not work
-Bot Messages (Who has entered/left) the chat do not work
-Tabs glowing orange when there are unread message does not work
-'Smilies'/ 'Smiley's' button do not work as intended

The Smiley issue has been resolved!

The best part is it is only 1 button. A big thank you to AWC'S Admin and developer LGforum for personally taking the time to figure out a permanent solution to this problem. Many thanks to him.

Thank you to all the users who filed reports, this is the new effiencent way to file reports from here on out. Very Happy

Hello everyone,

I am happy to announce our AWC Chatbox has been re-styled once again. Now I know it techinally has been for awhile, but we have finally fixed a slight bug with the styling that was preventing the chat background from being black. This has been resolved and chatting should now be much much easier. Not to mention it looks just as pretty as it did before Very Happy

Well techinally it has been 'working' correctly for some time now... atleast a month. It was just a re-design that was being worked on Smile

Hey guys,

A new version of our awc chatbox came out today (awc version 2.1), I decided to add it right away since the changes and features in this new version are actually mild and therefore less likely to have too many bugs in it.

If you notice anything not working right or not working as it should, then please let me know in this topic as it could possibly be a bug with the new version and if I confirm it, then I want ro pass it on to the developer so he can fix it.

Hey everyone,

As you may or may not have noticed, our awc chat is down for the time being. We are not sure why at this point in time, however, it does seem to be something on the developers end. We have contacted the developer, but have not heard anything back yet.

We are going to continue to monitor the problem and will let you guys know if we get any updates on it.

We apologize for any inconvience this may cause and we ask that you remain patient as we await the resolution of the issue.

As it is un likely our chatbox will be coming back anytime soon (the developer of the AWC Chatbox we had been using has closed his site and seems to have gotten away from coding stuff), I will go ahead and mark this solved and then archive it.
