It was not his move... the group wanted to go so they went. Rick does not have the authority stop or prevent them from going.

Think about it, the group is tired, hungry, thirsty, most are depressed from all the deaths. The prospect of a safe heaven and protection sounds wonderful. Maybe it is not such a smart move if you look at the really big picture, but the factors I mentioned can impede on what one's is willing to risk (in decision making). The are mentally and pysichally exhuasted. Besides, the have always gotten out trouble before, they are pretty confident they can do it again if need be.

You think so? Honestly if I were going to ambush them I would have done it at the barn. Not at my front gates where they can run or fight back with ease.

It is possible Brandon, I mean doing it at the barn is the smartest way abosutelly, however, do you remmeber when our new friend said in his proposal "No body or thing gets in or out unless they want them/it to" with thay all they would need to do is let Rick and the group in and close the gates and bam... ambush would be easy.

I suppose so... I heard from a friend of mine that (he read a little bit into the comic books) with this particular camp there was something with paying for protection or something like that. I do not know much about how this would work or affect this camp.

Oh your darn right they would put up a fight, would probably win the fight too. What do think could be up with the payment thing Brandon mentioned. Any ideas?

sounds like the new guy from this new camp is saying that the Atlanta Group may have to work for the camp in order to pay their way to stay there, but the only way to know is to see what happens

Pay how though? Surely dollar bills are pretty much useless so what other ways of payment can be made? A payment like what the governor expected?

hard to say, but it should be expected that a large group like the one that may be possibly found in this new camp may require each member to pull their weight for the betterment of the whole group

Just what I was thinking. Knowing Rick though, he will not 'pay' for any protection when his group can very well handle themselves.

Well Rick will never go for it. He will simply fight his way out if he feels unsafe and threatened.

possibly, but he's tended to take things too far sometimes as of late, as an example, i point the to the episode of terminus, when rick went nuts about annihilating everyone in charge there as revenge

Well they were insane cannibals...

that was out of necessity, not choice, and your point is granted, but rick and group got out alive which was the important thing, so there wasn't any grounds for him to go nuts about wanting revenge

That revenge plan was not the plan at all, I believe Rick did that so those guys would break into the church and try to kill the baby and the rest. He circled right back around and he ambushed their ambush. I believe that was the entire plan the whole time.
