I wasn't aware that Verizon offered a tv service.

I wouldn't know, as Verizon has been banned from entering canada

Oh, well the USA allows them. It's good thing actually, you only have 1 cable company in a town right? Now you don't want to use them... call Verizion and you can use them. Any town, any state to allow Verizion and/or a satellite company in. It keeps things ethinical, no single 1 company controls an area. That sort of thing.

It would have been nice to have a decent alternative to Canada's "big three" but they all decided to play bully and locked Verizon out.

Yeah well that will never happen in the usa, the cable companies could fight until there blue in the face, it won't be allowed, in fact it is actually illegal for only company to control one area or for company in an area to partner with one another. Heavy fines for that kind of stuff.

As I said before, it would have been nice to have an alternative to canda's "big three (who are guilty of mercilessly and relentlessly ripping people off money-wise) but such wasn't allowed to happen.

Shame... I have no idea what Canada is thinking....

they were not denied, they just chose not to play a hand in the matter, but it doesn't matter, as they are already in Canada. also, one can chose the smaller time providers, but the only true independent one is Wind Mobile, However, their service spotty at best.

What do you mean they were not 'denied'? I thought they were not allowed in Canada?

they just chose not to enter the market, which is a shame, because it gives the big 3 a much stronger strangle hold on things

Well the big 3 need to pay mega taxes so they won't want to be the ONLY 3 .

They do that here too... For dialing 911 because a person needs help! Its crazy! Then they have the nerve to deny it! Yet its right on the bill...

i know, but again, the big 3 don't care, when there's money to be made, they will take as much money as possible from anyone

As much as we don't like it, there isn't very much that comes without a price these days.

there is something one can do, it's called avoiding the whole mess all together

It is a matter of prefrence and choice as well. Any single person is entitled to their opinion, but no one else's wrong. Some people may like Verizion while others may not. It's just how it is.

from what i hear, Verizon is no better than any of the big 3, so if you can avoid them, avoid them at every chance you can.
