lake trip pics?

First topic message reminder :

is anyone still interested in the the pics of the lake trip that ttfan and i went on?

the lake looks very gross, but it looks worse than it felt

The lake's only island. Unfortunately its far too small and isolated to have any cabins or camping
facilities.

at.



A slightly better version of the previous pic. The thing behind me is an old gravity-fed visible gas pump, which is an extremely rare sight in North America nowadays (due to issues like the gasoline evaporating in the sun and glass shards in the gasoline).



Part of the beach which is just across the road from the gift shop.

these were taken in the next town over

that island doesn't have cabins, but it does have a campsite with a fire pit

I should also mention that I did get splashed while travelling to the 2nd rock tunnel entrance but didn't stay wet for very long. I will try and get some pics on this year's trip, but I'm not too sure if they'll be of things that haven't been seen before.

Would still like to see new pics, it is cool seeing you guys hang out and have fun together for once.

Unfortunately this will have to wait, as the trip will not be happening until early to mid August.

Update,

There is a forest fire burning near the lake and campground that 1mtvfan and myself will be going to in August. I am quite certain that it doesn't pose a threat though.

last word on it was that it was under control, it may be out by now

i don't think it will, the last word i heard on it was that it was under control, so it may be out by now, but i haven't heard anymore word on it.

update, as it stands right now, the area is closed off to everyone, but it should be open again by august, but even so, there will most likely be a fire ban in place due to the tinder dry conditions.
