Train sets!
First topic message reminder :
i am also still looking for some more cylindrical grain hoppers, and also anything of interest in the way of model buildings and track-side scenery, so feel free to offer some up if you have any laying about or know how to come about them

Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone,
The new laundry machines are here (as of 12:50PM central time on 7/4/2019) but have not been fully installed as yet due to some fine-tune details that need to be completed. I also have nothing to share in terms of track construction but such remains beyond my control.

Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone,
I now have a video of the new setup but, due to compatibility and space issues, I cannot post it on here. For anyone that wants to know, the space that the setup occupies is 25' long by 10' 10'".

Hello everyone,
Sadly I have nothing to report in terms of layout construction but the locomotive roster may increase by one unit soon.

Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone, just a small update here!
I have suspected this for a while now but building the PLRX is a winter project due to obligations during the spring, summer and fall. Recent complications known as the installation of an all-metal roof as well as basement repair work have added some further delays to its construction but these are important for the health and safety of those who reside in the railroad's home.

Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone, here's another short update (as of 9:50AM on 9/9/2019).
As the summer of 2019 is effectively over now, work on the PLRX has started up again. Planning for track work in the passenger complex area has begun now, but installing the main line trackage has yet to be completed so this will probably be the priority for the next little while.
Please stay tuned for further updates as the construction progress continues.

Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone,
As of 9/11/2019, the PLRX has a memorial plaque for its predecessor (the Liptonvillle Central Valley Railway, or LCVR) curtesy of my friend DJ Marvelous Mart from Phonic Radio. I will try and get a photo of this plaque on here when I can, as its a very nice-looking and touching memorial.

Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone, got another update here!
As of 9/15/2019, there is a plan to fit the lift-out bridge with quick-snap wire fittings as these will help to prevent stress on the PLRX's wire harnesses. Unfortunately there is no track work happening at this time but I for one am trying to remain cautiously optimistic about the matter.
Stay tuned for further updates as the construction progress continues.

Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone,
Got a couple of updates to share (as of 20:10hrs) on 9/29/2019:
1.) Track work remains stalled, but there has been an early design for the passenger complex drawn up. This has been rejected however, as it uses too many switches.
2.) The PLRX has gained another locomotive. This unit (the 8635) is a former CP Rail unit and has been assigned to the railroad's "Mixed Pack" service (as extra power). Incidentally, the real CP 8635 can generate 4,400 horsepower.
3.) The "Mixed Pack" service is now 22 cars long as it has gained another stand-alone well car. According to the story, this car (former TTX Corp. 25066) was originally part of a 3-unit well car but was converted into a single after the car's A & C sections were scrapped due to being unusable.
Please stay tuned for further updates as the PLRX saga continues.

Re: Train sets!
Hello all, another update to share (as of 19:30hrs on 10/1/2019):
There has been a very small amount of track installed on the setup now, but my dad's employment obligations for the season have not ended yet. Sadly the matter has become somewhat taboo between my family again, but I can share it with all of you.
Please stay tuned as the construction progress continues.

Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone,
It turns out that my dad's employment obligations end just five days from now (on 10/15/2019), so work on the PLRX can resume sooner than first expected. Not surprisingly laying down track is the no.1 priority but this work will start with the main lines and then progress to secondary lines. Also, I've made some changes to the documentation that accompanies the setup in order to better reflect the train lengths.
Stay tuned as the construction progress continues.
