i am also still looking for some more cylindrical grain hoppers, and also anything of interest in the way of model buildings and track-side scenery, so feel free to offer some up if you have any laying about or know how to come about them

Hello everyone. 

As of 9:10PM Central time on 10/8/2019, there has been no progress on track work but I will admit that I am looking for some more HO Scale shipping containers (specifically 20' and 45' foot ones made by companies called Athearn and Walthers). Also, My twin brother is planning on changing the couplers on his new locomotive before putting it into service because he is not a fan of the ones it came with.

Hello everyone, got a small update here.

The PLRX will be getting two more 20' and 40' containers from its English friend Martin soon but this will be it from him for a while due to financial crisis that he's currently having. Frustratingly there is still no track work done as yet but some of the cardboard boxes used to store blankets have disappeared.

Hello everyone, here's another update.

As of 6:15PM Central time on 10/18/2019, the likelyhood of the PLRX getting the containers mentioned in my previous update is not looking very good due to an increase in their asking price. As for the matter of track work, its ongoing but such is frustratingly slow due to the priorities of life. I have also suggested naming some of the locations on the setup, but such is not a major priority at this time so its subject to change at any time.

Can't you find the containers your looking for on Ebay or something?

The container pack was found on Ebay but the asking price went up for some reason.

Hello everyone, got another update to share.

As of 17:55hrs Central Time on 10/20/2019, there has been some work on the tracks but not as much as I was hoping (a piece of track was pulled up and replaced by a switch on the eastbound line to form an interchange and the beginnings of spur tracks for the grain elevator have been installed). I should also mention that my half of the PLRX's "Mixed Pack" train has grown to 10 cars after my purchase of a 2nd stand-alone well car (which came with a pair of 40' containers) during a weekend show called Manitoba Mega Train. Unfortunately (and quite frustratingly), my twin brother has decided to play selfish, spoiled & stubborn brat again because of the train length issue which has come up again. 


Such cannot be helped though as the some of our intermodal cars are representative of very long cars (the longest would be 345' in real life) and we only have so much space to use.

Hello everyone, here's another update.

As of 14:15hrs on 10/23/2019, there is almost enough track installed to allow for at least one complete line around the PLRX. Getting the setup powered will obviously be the next task but such is at the mercy of life's priorities. Unfortunately my twin brother is continuing to let his very noticeable but as yet undiagnosed OCD cloud his judgement whenever he doesn't get what he wants in relation to this matter though, and these (along with life's priorities) are making it difficult for me to be optimistic about future operations.

Hello everyone, here's another update from me

As of 1:05PM Central Time on 10/26/2019, the main lines of the PLRX are complete. It will still be some time before the setup receives power though as work on some secondary track needs to be completed. I will admit that this information came to me while I was posing the update before this one, but I decided to give BD's other users a break and post this update today.

Unfortunately the railroad is having to make do with what shipping containers it currently has at present, due to a financial crisis. The PLRX's management remains cautiously optimistic that it can obtain more container traffic in the very near future though.
