Camup General Discussion

First topic message reminder :

Hello everyone,

I make this topic today to help us get a discussion on Camup.tv going.

Camup is a pretty good site, it has both html5 and flash video players, a decent chat, free stream keys and even guest cams (though you have to become a 'donator' to activate this now)

Do any of you guys use Camup? How do you like it? I will provide my experience with it in the next post.

Well the decision is up to Martin. It just would be easier to have a account on Cam Up then he can tune into any shows he wants to

yes that is very true how ever i really doubt mart is going to make an account just to watch the BGRN shows since he hardly ever tunes in anyways

They re added the sound effects on Camup now .

It seems Martin has other problems apart from joining shows on Cam Up. He has a lot to deal with right now. I didn't know the sound effects since I have the sounds turned off when I am on there

Questions remain about whether Camup will close or remain open, however, I have been working with owner of the site to try and fill some staff vacancies that may allow to stay open.

so far nothing has come to light yet i do wish it stays open through all of 2021 cuz i really enjoy doing shows on there i can't think of where else i would cast if camup did close i for one would love for it to stay open if there is new staff hired and maybe a new site owner as well if and when Chris decides to step down due to health issues.

It is looking more like it might stay open part time during active hours lol.

Hopefully it does stay open even with a new site owner with Chris stepping down with his own health issues. I am happy to do my shows on there for Praise FM and BGRN. I will be happy to see it stay in 2021

Chris isn't stepping down, he is just going to be spending less time on the site as a result of health problems.

Anyway, I am looking forward to the Christmas Spectacular which will air on the 19th .

Its important for one to look after themselves, especially as they get older as their immune system gets weaker. 

I'm also looking forward to the Christmas Spectacular tbh.

It should be a good one for sure, I have a whole lineup of programming lined up for the week of Christmas .

Hopefully Chris can get over whatever issues he's having at this time.

I am looking forward to it also. I am thinking my show would be on Saturday instead of Sunday since that could be with the movie marathon happening on that day. Only if you do get that day off for doing that. Just will need to know what time would since you want to do your Christmas show on there too. I can work it out and then it should be two good shows that day. Let me know what you do decide when you do know about it. Thanks

I remain committed to supporting this site as much as I can.

I will be supporting the website too. I do enjoy broadcasting on there and I wouldn't be happy if anything happened to it. Hopefully it will still around and get to enjoy it in 2021

i hope so too Josh we also don't know what next year holds show wise

Still waiting to hear back from @TigerTankFan on whether he wants help moderate Camup or not. Also still waiting to hear back on the final fate of Camup as well.

I have been thinking about this a lot as of late brandon, and will try to let you know of my decision soon.

there keeping us in Limbo and time is ticking on what to do i like for us to help out with camup but at this point where kind of in Limbo on this.

As of 12/25/2020, I have said yes to a volunteer mod position with Camup. So my involvement in this "limbo" situation is now 100% over.

That is awesome Arthur. I am real busy so it would be hard for me to volunteer on the website. But hopefully it does get enough volunteers to keep the site going. I would to still do my shows on there with BGRN and Praise FM. Hopefully it all works out in the new year of 2021

Unfortunately all we can do for now is wait and see what happens. Plus I've heard that ongoing physical health issues may force Chris to step away from the site for an as-yet undetermined period of time.

I was going to say Art, that it is unfortunately a waiting game at this point.

Great news! It has been announced, Camup will be staying open! Though it's primary admin will be stepping aside for health reasons.

While it is sad to see Chris leaving the site, I thank him for everything he has done for the site. I also thank all the admins who are staying on board to keep the site open.

This news means we can officially party now!
