Camup General Discussion

First topic message reminder :

Hello everyone,

I make this topic today to help us get a discussion on Camup.tv going.

Camup is a pretty good site, it has both html5 and flash video players, a decent chat, free stream keys and even guest cams (though you have to become a 'donator' to activate this now)

Do any of you guys use Camup? How do you like it? I will provide my experience with it in the next post.

Yes I read his message. It is sad news there but he got to do what he needs to. I am happy that Cam Up is staying open. Looking forward to doing shows on there in 2021 on BGRN or even on my own show. Yes we can have a big party now

Chris did a good Job with the site it is sad to see him go but at the same time at least staff isn't closing camup that's the plus side but i'm glad it's staying open and we get to do more shows this year as well

Yep, I wonder if Admin Larry will now be taking the reins as the 'primary' admin?

I for one am kind of worried that Camup will take a page of the book that Apple & Microsoft used and become something to hate due to their business practices.

What page from Apple and Microsoft is that Art? There isn't a change in ownership or anything, the same admins who have been involved with the site since day 1 are remaining on board, it is just that 1 admin and the one that is most on Social Media is stepping down. Admin Larry does most of the background coding for the site I believe anyway so.

I doubt very much will change on Camup aside from maybe minor tweaks here or there.

i agree with brandon there art camup has had the same staff since Day 1 heck even since i been there in 2017 it was only chris that stepped down due to health issues he had to make that choice and it was a wise choice to make for him to focus on health rather then risk getting worse as brandon has stated since chris was the main site owner i think he also passed that off to Larry being that he knows alot of the site and works on it as well we need people like larry to continue to provide us with a good site and keep it going

I only joined the website in 2019 so I don't know what happened back in 2017 or any time before then. I have enjoyed it for a year which was December 19th of last year. Looking forward to enjoying it for another year as it is a great website. Not sure who the main admin is but I am sure it is someone who is doing that. That is my thoughts

Update: The now sole Admin of Camup Larry, has ordered a new server to stabilize the site after the recent server switch related to the official switch of ownership from Chris to Larry.

it's cool that Larry now has ownership of the site and yes the Bugs are annoying and abit frustrating but i'm going to give it time to be ironed out

hopefully he can figure out what the heck is going on with all these bugs.

All the bugs appear to be fixed now. He switched the site over to a better server which appears to have solved several of the issues.

I agree Brandon. Hopefully there won't be any more bugs for a while but such is beyond my control.

i just found a new bug it has to do with the featured counter it hasn't moved and still says like 3 weeks ago that's the only bug i See Left all the others look to be fixed but the Featured when you refresh

Very minor bug, but 99% of the features do work properly so that is what counts .

I noticed Camup added new emotes to the global emote list.

they have i have not noticed much

Camup now as a feature called Turn DNF on/off.
I honestly have NO idea what DNF is.

it's called Do not feature the button is.

Nevermind, turns out what I noticed were custom icons that were added by Studio B Radio only for their channel.

Also Art yes, DNF stands for Do Not Feature.

Oh so it was Studio B Radio adding that

It seems there is a lot of changes on Cam Up along with a new server being put it and also looking real black on the home page. Also these random buttons on my channel that I am not sure what are for but I don't use them at all. I am sure there is more changes to come. I am loving Cam Up to do my own show along with my show on BGRN on Sunday
