Camup General Discussion

First topic message reminder :

Hello everyone,

I make this topic today to help us get a discussion on Camup.tv going.

Camup is a pretty good site, it has both html5 and flash video players, a decent chat, free stream keys and even guest cams (though you have to become a 'donator' to activate this now)

Do any of you guys use Camup? How do you like it? I will provide my experience with it in the next post.

As far as I am concerned, Camup is the no.1 site for casting.

Thanks Arthur. I also do agree with you that Cam Up is a great website to stream your show or shows on when you can. I wouldn't try any other streaming websites at all just stay on Cam Up

i wouldn't go as far as saying camup is number 1 due to it's small but to small user base compared to other sites that has more users the only site that might take the number 1 Spot is twitch and right now camup is far from it but it is a good site but it's not number 1 it comes in dead last for being so small as far as sites go but we can change that if we promote camup in the months ahead

Camup is working on a new video player with less lag than the old one. But from what I hear it has bugs right now. ;(

I'm not entirely sure on this but I will bet that even HTML5 had bugs in its early days.

HTML5 as far as Live Streaming goes is still new art it's going to have bugs nothing is perfect.

I have to say that seeing new software always bugs is disheartening.

It seems the new player needs some more work before it can be better. The old HTML5 player works fine and I had no problems with it. Just to work on the new player. I did test it out a few times and it still needs some work. But It will be much better player once it is fixed and working right

The standard version of HTML5 works and is sufficient for streaming at this time. I'm not sure about the newest version but its something to look forward to as Camup will probably lead the way in terms of this achievement.

i mean eventually camup will have to remove the old player but at this point in time it might not happen with the player being so buggy.

The HTML5 player has too much lag to it. You don't know what is happening since it isn't real time. I did test out the new player on my channel and it seems much better. I will be happy using the new player since the old player has too much lag to it. I do agree with Aaron as I do think the old player will be gone and it will be just the new player to use

Unfortunately I for one have doubts about the new HTML5 player being ready any time soon as it still needs to be fine-tuned. At the same time however, this work is being done as we speak.

i think the main idea for the new player art is so the caster has no Lag during the stream for the viewer they can stay on the older player if they wanted too that's the way i see it anyways

That is very true. It is only for donators on the website. I know mine running out about 4.2 weeks which is going to be soon now. I only use it to test music videos on my channel. The rest of the time I use the HTML 5 player on Sunday for my shows. It does work with whatever lag may be part of it. I am use it since been using longer than the new player

According to our friend and colleague Aaron, there's been some camup bashing happening in his live room. Then again, he's managed to get this under control & came up with a plan to make this stop.

Well that was only Wednesday night in his BGRN show with Andy from Twilight FM coming in the room and causing problems. He didn't end his show at all just got real mad and shut the show down with no closing songs. It was handled even though it was a lot of drama but I didn't say anything at all since I didn't want to be part of any of this drama at all. It also did happen last night but there was no Andy from Twilight FM in the room. He just got mad about something then closed the show down with no closing songs. It did happen twice but hopefully it will be a lot better next week since I don't know what is the cause of some of these things. I know Andy from Twilight FM was on Wednesday night. Not sure what his reason for last night was if it was showing up to his show or something else. I couldn't really tell at all. Hopefully Aaron will calm down and get back to doing shows next week with no drama at all. Also with adding the usual closing songs to his shows. That is my thoughts

From what I understand, Aaron has now decided to silence Andy whenever he starts trouble or give at least one of his mods the power to do this. Such is unfortunate but, at the same time, disrespectful actions do need to get punished.

Well Andy was good at the BG Radio Network show from Aaron but Brandon tell him to behave. He was also good in Aaron's show apart from bad comments but he didn't stay too long either. It is good he can be silenced if he is being bad by Aaron or one of the mods. I agree it is good for punishment with being disrespectful actions

Andy has been behaving again lately thankfully.

Well, we ALL know what to do if/when he starts to misbehave again.

Well he is doing his best he can but he does have his moments. He did royal slap me in Arthur's room this past Thursday before he left but I did royal slap him back with the gif. Other that he is up to his usual tricks including using hello lady's which I do seem he is talking about Martin and Mr T (Duane) which are his ladies. I did do a special request for him for a new Tim Hughes song then he just left the room. That is without saying bye at all but that is usual for him. Hopefully Andy does behave though

I could be wrong about this but it would seem that Andrew has a hard time accepting other people's rules and frequently doesn't always know when to stop being funny. Such is quite annoying tbh but, unfortunately, I don't see this coming to a stop any time soon.

Yes that is good news there. I am happy not to refresh more than once. Interesting week on Cam Up with the usual shows of DJ Aaron and also DJ Arthur cancelled his show with tech issues. Also the show from DJ Slim Shaky (Brandon) and also two shows from DJ Andy from Twilight FM as a pre show and after show. Also DJ Aaron's usual Friday Night Live show. I will be ending it off with my usual shows on Sunday of Praise FM Automation and DJ Josh Show on BGRN. I also did a test show for Praise FM with DJ Josh just testing out the mic on there. It did sound good as I did hear it at the end of the show. I was using Mic/Aux setting in Audio Settings in OBS. I will be doing that tomorrow for my show on BGRN. Hopefully it will sound good on the mic. That is about it and my thoughts on the shows for this week
