Re: Train sets!
Hello all!
Unfortunately there still any new construction taking place on the railroad at the moment (as of 2:40PM CDST on 7/5/2021), but the railroad continues to transport loads of barley and grain. It also continues to look for more locomotives and rolling stock.

Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone!
As of 12:00PM CDST on 7/20/2021, there has been an accident on the railroad. Unfortunately a train crew moving grain cars from the Oakdale elevator to the one in Rustyville failed to couple a group of empty cars. This, in turn, created a runaway while travelling down the Arlee Branch.
Thankfully these cars were empty but there was some physical damage done. Repairs have already started however, and are expected to be completed soon.
Please stay tuned for updates as the Phoenix Line Railroad's story continues.

Re: Train sets!
Its probably expected now, but there is nothing to report as of 3:35 PM CDST on 8/18/2021. I will do what I can to keep everyone on here informed however.

Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone!
Sorry about not posting in here much but I've been trying stay busy with other obligations and/or other priorities. Anyway...
As of 9:10AM CDST on 9/26/2021, former CP Rail GP35 3050 has been pressed into service as a helper on the Arlee Branch recently but such hasn't happened very often. The construction of two new bridges for this branch have been completed now, but their installation has been delayed due to financial concerns. bulk shipments of barley and grain from the Cargill elevator in Rustyville to the ADM one in Oakdale are continuing as well, but will be halted in order for the aforementioned work to be started and completed.
Please stay tuned for further updates as the Phoenix Line Railroad's story continues

Hello again everyone!
Don't have much to report (as of 3:30PM CDST on 10/6/2021) but the transport of raw barley and train between grain facilities continues.

Hello everyone!
Don't have a lot to share today (11:10 AM CDST on 10/21/2021) but the transport of raw grain and malt barley between grain elevators continues. The plan to install some bridges on the Arlee Branch remains on hold for now, but will be happening.
Please stay tuned for further updates as the Phoenix Line Railroad's story continues.

Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone, got some exciting news to share!
The plan to install some bridges on the PLRX's Arlee Branch has been reactivated now, and the aforementioned work will be taking place sometime next week. Such is possible due to my parents decision to not take part in Halloween 2021, and probably won't take all that long. Unfortunately this means that the branch will have to be closed but this cannot be helped.

Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone.
Frustratingly the plan that I mentioned in my preceding post has been put off again due to other priorities (as of 5:45PM on 10/31/2021).
This has allowed the loading and transport of raw grain and malt barley to continue however.

Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone, got some less than ideal news to share.
The plan to add some bridges to the railroad's Arlee line continues to be delayed as a result of other priorities as of 3:55 PM CDST on 11/6/2021 but there has been an additional complication. Due to someone's stubborn refusal to hear and/or follow instructions, former CP Rail coach 119 is now COMPLETELY unusable and can't be fixed until sometime in the future. Naturally I am quite annoyed and frustrated by this but am trying hard to not take it out on anyone in here.

Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone, got some bad and good news to share today (11/9/2021).
The bad news
Due to unforeseen complications associated with construction, the railroad's plan to install bridges on the Arlee Branch has been delayed again.
The good news
The aforementioned delay has allowed bulk shipments of barley and grain to the ADM elevator in Oakdale to continue. Plus, former CP Rail coach 119 has been returned to service due to the efforts of a very dedicated shop crew. I have to admit that I'm both happy and surprised about this even though the railroad doesn't use this car all that often.

Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone.
As of 11:05AM CST on 11/7/2021, work to build track for the lumberyard at Timberneck Gulch has begun. Unfortunately this work has forced the railroad to close the Arlee Branch, but I suspect that this closure will be temporary.

Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone, got some exciting news to share (as of 4:05PM CST on 11/19/2021).
1.) Work to construct/install the loading tracks in the lumberyard of Timberneck Gulch is progressing slowly but surely. Unfortunately the work needed to add locomotive parking spurs to the main yard in Hillside hasn't started yet but such is due to the railroad's prioritized work schedule.
2.) After SEVERAL years of issues, the railroad was FINALLY able to operate its Wreck Train over the mainline (albeit without its actual assigned locomotive). This train didn't have any work to do, but the fact that it was able to operate at all is a good thing in my book.
Please stay tuned for further updates as the Phoenix Line Railroad's story continues.
