Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone, here are some more updates.
As of 1:35PM CDST on 4/7/2021, track work in the locomotive maintenance area in Hillside has been completed. While there are four tracks installed in this area, only three of them will be used to store locomotives that are to be serviced. The 4th will remain unused for now, but may see use by a sleeping car (for the railroad's employees) and/or old boxcars storing parts and tools.
Track work has also been happening in Stackville but this has been delayed by other priorities. Surprisingly, Timberneck Gulch will be getting two single-ended storage spurs, but this work is also stalled out at present. The situation with Arlee remains as hearsay for now but, according to what I've heard, this town will be getting a depot but not a water tower.
Please stay tuned for further updates as the Phoenix Line Railroad's story continues.

Re: Train sets!
Hello again everyone, got some more updates to share (as of 9:35AM CDST on 4/9/2021)!
Arlee now has a depot and water tower now, but these may be moved to a different location at some point in the near future. Unfortunately I still have no idea when construction of this town's paper mill will actually start. While all work in Oakdale has been completed, Timerneck Gulch has not reached this milestone yet.
I've also learned that this town will be able to have a depot and freight platform after all. According to the railroad work in Hillside, Stackville and Rustyville has been completed.
Please stay tuned for further updates as the Phoenix Line Railroad's story continues.

Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone!
Turns out that I was wrong about track work in Stackville being completed, as some more of this has been performed as of 4:00PM CDST on 4/14/2021. Its not major work, but the tracks in this town's intermodal yard are being extended in an attempt to fit more intermodal equipment in the yard.
From what I understand, there is no other work to be performed (aside from laying track in Timberneck Gulch).
As usual I will do what I can to keep everyone on here informed of all developments.

Hello everyone!
The track work in Stackville is completed now (as of 1:55PM CDST on 4/17/2021), and consisted of lengthening the intermodal yard tracks. Unfortunately ALL track work in Timberneck Gulch remains stalled out at this time.

Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone, here are some more updates (as of 7:50PM CDST on 4/18/2021)!
Both of the railroad's passenger trains have undergone testing on the Arlee Branch now and, while they had some issues, they were minor. The Phoenix Flyer needed help from the from the 4053 (a former Via Rail EMD F9B that was built for CP Rail), but I predicted this very early on and felt quite vindicated. While the Officers'/VIP Special had the same issue, it wasn't as bad and managed to accomplish its assigned task.
Unfortunately one of the trucks on the "Skyline" car (517) decided to act up a bit during this test but the car will pass through the PLRX's car & locomotive shops (to get some adjustments made to its trucks in order to resolve the issue as well as try to prevent it from happening again) at some point in the very near future.
Please stay tuned for more updates as the Phoenix Line Railroad's story continues.

Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone, here are some more updates (as of 9:45AM CDST on 4/22/2021)!
The railroad has started work on two new bridges now, and BOTH will be installed above Stackville when they are completed. Former Via Rail 517 has been fixed now, but its anyone's guess as to when (or if) the problem will return.
Please stay tuned for further updates as the Phoenix Line Railroad's story continues.

Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone.
Just wanted you all to know that work on the first of the three final bridges is mostly complete now (as of 9:00 AM CDST on 4/27/2021). Some track work will have to be done before it can be installed above Stackville however.

Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone.
Just letting you all know that, as of 11:25AM CDST on 4/29/2021, work on the 2nd of three final bridges has begun. Unfortunately the first bridge has not been placed in its final location yet, but I'm confident that such will happen at some point in the near future.

Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone, got another update about the railroad here.
As of 10:45AM CDST on 5/3/2021, most of the physical work on the PLRX has come to a complete halt due to my father's employment obligations.

Re: Train sets!
Not too much for me to report here folks (6:00PM CDST on 5/25/2021), but I will say that loads of barley and grain can completely bypass the railroad's yard at Hillside now. Such can be done with the empty cars too.
