Yeah always, internet, pawn shops and thrift shops all provide alternative options and are available almost anywhere.
Re: Microphones (Skype)
again, not a great option, pawnshop inventory electronics are often in poor or mediocre shape, so it is often best to bite the bullet and upgrade

Actually , that is not entirelly true, you can find great products in working order at pawnshops. I have seen people buy litigate laptops from pawn shops and they actually work better then new ones you can buy at a store.

Just saying there is choices and other options always available. Whether you choose to utilize them or not is your choice.

Re: Microphones (Skype)
I haven't really used headset microphones. I might have to look into one.

Re: Microphones (Skype)
Well this topic is really just about microphones you may have to work well with skype. Doesn't have to be headset mics.

I agree a cordless mic does sound cool.
Re: Microphones (Skype)
not so sure about a cordless headset, as cordless items often have range issues

Our point though is, how can there be a 'range' issue you are next to the computer the reciever is hooked up to. You cant have range issues when you are less then a couple feet from the reciever. The only time you would likely have trouble, is if you left the room, went somewhere else on the house. If you are at the computer, next to the thing, you most likely will not have a single 'range' issue
Re: Microphones (Skype)
one cannot predict when a range issue will happen, and it can happen even when they're near their computer
