Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
So the other night I was listening to (or trying to) a AM radio station that does the Yankees game. I can see now why people don't use AM anymore. This thing was staticy the entire time and I could barely hear a word they were saying.
Thankfully this station also broadcasted on the FM band as well, and that one came in a bit better, even though it did go out at times.

Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
AM radio may not always have the best audio quality, but it goes a lot farther than any signal that uses the FM band. Such is pretty much always ignored by most people though

also to FM is better cuz the signal is stronger then AM there phasing out AM here or trying to anyways.
Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
I do agree Arthur and Aaron there. FM is much better signal and sounds better. AM stations can be not the best signal

Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
I would listen to at least two AM radio stations when I was a kid, but one of these has since closed down and I am avoiding the other as I don't like the content its been putting out as of late. More specifically, I stopped listening to this radio station in roughly March (and that was 6 months ago).

What's the point in going further if everyone can barely hear you?TigerTankFan wrote:AM radio may not always have the best audio quality, but it goes a lot farther than any signal that uses the FM band. Such is pretty much always ignored by most people though
Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
i didn't listen to AM Radio much as a kid it was always FM radio for me
Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
I have also stopped listening to AM radio now, as it isn't what it used to be (I remember being able to hear live Blue Jays baseball games on one AM radio station) plus EMF interference from my computer usually ruins the signal.

I haven't listened to the radio in a long time that does include AM and FM stations. I know the same songs would be played on Christian Pop And Rock station String Ray music on my cable. Plus I do listen to my own music or Spotify or YouTube

EMF means Electro Magnetic Frequency, and computers produce a lot of these.Brandon wrote:EMF interference Art?
Such is a common occurrence in haunted places too actually.

Well I don't listen to the radio unless I am on road trip but I usually make a long playlist on my iPod to listen to while I am driving there. The last time I did listen to a FM stations was back in March. I haven't listen to any since then

Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
I remember hearing a very annoying electronic screech the last time I had one of my AM radio near my computer when it was turned on. If it wasn't EMF, then I suspect that its some electro-magnetic interference. I have since changed this radio's frequency band to the FM dial and there has been no further problems. However, due to all of the BS in the world at present (as of 9:10 PM CDST on 10/12/2020), this radio has been turned of (and has been kept like this since March).

I haven't listened to the radio in the long time. If I do would it would be Shine FM 88.9 which is my local Christian radio station. I haven't did that in a long time. I usually listen to the Christian Rock and Pop station on String Ray Music on my cable or even songs on YouTube on my TV or on the laptop. I also got Spotify and my own music to listen to which is in digital files or even CD's or DVD's. I got lots of ways to listen to music apart from the radio if it is AM or FM stations

i don't listen to any radio now unless it's in the car or something in the house tho i don't listen to any cuz i can't pick up any stations even with an FM antenna so kind of hard to actually listen
Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
I remember hearing a couple of radio stations on satellite radio while doing some volunteer work. One was all Elvis song, while the other was a news station. Not surprisingly I didn't like the news channel all that much.

satellite radio has all types of music and talk shows too. I'm sure you would find something you like there.

Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
I also forgot to mention I do have YouTube on my TV so I can listen to music on there through YouTube videos. Just the ads on YouTube can get real annoying after a while. I also haven't listen to any radio in a long time. There is a online radio station I do listen to some times called Air 1 Worship Now that has a lot of great worship songs on it. I do listen to it some times but I haven't listened to it recently

Re: Favorite AM Radio Stations?
I have to admit that I don't have a favorite radio station at all right now (AM or FM), as MOST (if not all) of the ones in my city are obsessed with news related to all of the BS currently going on in the world (as of 5:50PM CST on 11/17/2020). Due to my desire to avoid any and all contact related to this, I chose to turn BOTH of my radios off back in April (and they have remained off since then, which was 8 months ago).

88.9 Shine FM is my local Christian radio station where I live. I do listen to it some times not all of the time. It does play a lot of good music apart from strange Christmas songs. Other than that I got lots of ways to listen to music even with YouTube on my TV. But there is also Spotify, YouTube on my laptop, my own music collection, CD's, and String Ray Christian Pop Rock channel on my cable which does play lot of great music including Christmas songs too
