First topic message reminder :

If anyone is wondering, Windows 8 was originally intended for mobile devices but Microsoft had to develop the 8.1 patch because many people still use a desktop computer rather than a mobile device. Unfortunately there's going to be a time when support for win7 (which is what I'm using at present) will end, but I'm hoping that this doesn't happen anytime soon.

Yes it probably will but it could have taken them time to make Windows 10 different from other version of Windows Smile

All of these above or true, but you must realize that they do not intentionally have the bugs in there, they just happencto be there, when it is reported they fix it.

Also Windows is the cheapest and most affordable operating system. If they made it like Apple's or Mac's then only middle class and rich people could buy computers which would not  be cool. Sad

Well many Mac users do not consider it a pc, it is just a computer. I have nearly offenred a couple Mac users by saying 'PC'. Razz lol!

So one would think, but Mac users regard them as 2 seperate things, a pc works on Windows ONLY and Mac users do not like Mac and Windows even close to each other in a sentence or to be represented by the same word I guess.

Therefore A Mac (to Mac users) is a computer not a PC.

You are missihg the my point, I agree with you, but I am telling you there are Mac users that think otherwise, so you do not need to explain or argue it with me, it's them you need to argue it with. I am simply saying that a few times when I say 'PC' to some Mac users they get all offensive and say.... PC!?! I have a Mac! Neutral

Maybe the idea is the same, but performance and price wise they are different.

Are you kidding me! Mac's last forever and you can find one for less than 700 dollars but even that is rare. There definitelly a difference.

That is the silliest thing I ever heard, here is EVIDENCE that your wrong (though honestly one should not need proof if they ever used or heard of a mac): http://gizmodo.com/5033865/study-average-mac-computer-price-more-that-twice-that-of-average-pc

That is highly debatable and for the most part untrue: http://www.diffen.com/difference/Mac_vs_PC http://www.technologizer.com/2010/02/27/pc-or-mac/

Plus the life cycle and possibility of catching a virus is 70% lower then a pc owner. If I bought a mac right now I could have it for life probably. They are built to last.

Ok not desktop wise, but more laptop wise. The Windows Laptops constantly crash and a person is lucky if they get 4 or 5 years of it. Mac laptops or Macbooks are not so the case, they will most likely last a life time if you keep up with the software updates.

I meant on average, with the number of PC'S made and sold maybe 1 in 1000 will last that long give or take a few factors. On average though they tend to not last long, even if they do work rounding 4 or 5 years there is usually de graded and poor performance due to the amount of viruses it would have been bound to recover from.

Macs and Macbooks consitently in almost every single one last at least 10 years or more if you upgrade the software.

Only with luck, what I mean is they build them so poorly or they do not build them to last, so even with best care in the best care in the world your pc can still quit after 2-4 years. Or somewhere around there. The pc's that last 10 years are lucky ones. But those are 1 in a 1000 as I said, whereas, every Macbook or mac is built to last 10 years. You see the different in life expectancy and lifecycle?
