Camup General Discussion
First topic message reminder :
Hello everyone,
I make this topic today to help us get a discussion on Camup.tv going.
Camup is a pretty good site, it has both html5 and flash video players, a decent chat, free stream keys and even guest cams (though you have to become a 'donator' to activate this now)
Do any of you guys use Camup? How do you like it? I will provide my experience with it in the next post.

Re: Camup General Discussion
ya Larry worked on them to fix them and the cams worked fine in the gatormix Last night so they do work now
Re: Camup General Discussion
I was unaware that there was an issue with Camup's guest cams until now, but its good to know that this has been fixed.

Those cams not working wasn't good at all. I couldn't even go on cam since I could see myself and it said connecting. I am glad it is working now and going on cam can happen

well it's part of the upgrading they are doing, it's like everything else you fix one thing and something else breaks.

That is true!
Re: Camup General Discussion
Maybe I'm wrong here, but it seems like guest cams are a new thing for HTML5.

Re: Camup General Discussion
now the streams are breaking late at night i was watching Super CFL and out of no where the server breaks and they couldn't connect to stream anymore that happened for 2 night's in a row and this seems to happen really late at night i'm glad it don't happen during one of our shows and with no Tech on duty due to taken Ill you might expect no response at all it was rather frustrating last night and all people wanted to do was watch a stream but couldn't and went poof
Re: Camup General Discussion
They are not new @TigerTankFan, they just didn't work on a lot of devices and browsers for awhile. Apparently this has been fixed now but I need to test it to be sure.
Also Aaron I am pretty sure that server issue was a one time thing.

Re: Camup General Discussion
as of tonight camup found the root of the problem for the connection issues of OBS it has to do with the new Windows 10 Update messing with the server requests for OBS for start and stop stream that's what we found out from chris anyways but all this time i never had any issues with connect and disconnect Requests for OBS so i'm lucky for the most part while other people continue to have issues and don't know why but now we know the root of the problem and hope they fix it
Re: Camup General Discussion
also from what i heard from chris it is mostly Graphics Card issues not being patched when updated so that can also be an issue with OBS Hanging up and Locking up then again i been lucky cuz AMD always patches there drivers on Update so it seems like Nvidia and Intel are the ones with issues at the moment OBS wise
Re: Camup General Discussion
As my other webcam is a Pluto Webcam and doesn't have the same amount of video quality as my Logitceh cam does, I will stick with a single cam for now.

Re: Camup General Discussion
Perhaps, but I am using it for Skype video calls at this time (as of 8;15 PM Central Daylight Saving Time on 7/22/2020) and plan to until the cam actually dies.

Re: Camup General Discussion
I just think that its easier for me to have a cam for my BGRN shows as well as a cam for Skype calls.

Re: Camup General Discussion
I am sure it doesn't matter what kind of camera you got. It was on issue with cams on Cam Up. They got fixed since my webcam is built into my laptop. I still have my old webcam but I don't use it at all

Technology is getting better almost every day, so older devices may not work with new computers. I honestly don't know for sure though.

Re: Camup General Discussion
You could be right Arthur. I haven't tried it yet but I am sure it wouldn't work out at all. I would have to try it out at some point. Also on a side note there was no show from me this weekend with working and also having a issue with activating Mircosoft 365 for Word, Excel, and so on. Also new weekend I am going away to see family and a friend of mine. There will be no show from me at all. Just letting everyone know about that

Re: Camup General Discussion
I was talking about hardware for the most part, but there is something to be said for software in relation to this matter as well.
