Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone!
There has been some developments regarding the railroad recently (as of 5:45 PM CDST on 5/11/2020), and I will make their details known below.
1.) The railroad has had some power issues but, thankfully, it was a minor situation.
2,) One of the grain hoppers (former TLDX 7215) has paid a visit to the repair yard for minor repairs. These have been completed now though and the car has returned to service.
As usual, the only operations taking place at present are the loading and transport of grain and malt barley.
I will do what I can to keep you all informed about any of the railroad's developments.

Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone, here is another update (as of 11:35 AM CDST on 5/17/2020):
1.) unfortunately the railroad isn't operating too many trains at present, but the loading and transport of grain and malt barley from the Cargill elevator in Rustyville continues.
2.) There has been some talk of adding a facility to "unload" these cars to the setup, but such is uncertain at this time due to the current health crisis and costs associated with it.
Please stay tuned for further updates as the railroad's story continues.

Re: Train sets!
Its a combination of both actually, as my twin brother and myself will move our barley and grain cars around a few times per week. There are plans to accomplish the things I've mentioned in the past and most recent updates but health concerns and employment obligations are making things difficult for us.BlackScorpion wrote:Ok Art, just a quick question on your updates, is this like a role play type thing or are you actually doing the stuff you saying?? Ok I see, yes your health and work can make things difficult, just got to take it day to day.

Re: Train sets!
That's not exactly what I was talking about Frank. The health concerns I was talking about are related to all of the BS that's in the world at this time (as of 10:10 AM CDST on 5/20/2020).

I am glad that you're being entertained by this thread Josh. I will try to post an update in this thread at some point tomorrow but there's not a lot of information to share at the present time.DJJosh wrote:Got way off topic here. Hello everyone,
Sadly there is not a lot of news to share at present (as of 8:50 AM CDST on 5/27/2020) but the loading and transport of grain and malt barely continues.

Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone, here's another small update.
The railroad's wreck train has gained another car (as of 5/30/2020). This car is a floodlight car, and will be used to help provide light for crews clearing train wrecks (which is a very infrequent event on this railroad). Unfortunately some of the information of this car (including its road number and the date it was built) is unknown, but what I can tell you is that the PLRX purchased it from BNSF Railway.
Its unknown where this car will be placed in the wreck train for now but I will try and inform you of any further developments relating to this matter.

Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone,
Don't really have a lot to say here today (as of 6:25 PM CDST on 6/2/2020), but the loading and transport of grain and malt barley continues. There has been a bit of talk regarding the possibility of getting a 2nd diesel-electric locomotive for the inter-modal yard at Stackville, but such remains as talk for now.
Please stay tuned for further updates as the Phoenix Line's story continues.

Thanks for the update TTFan. Are there any plans to expand the train layout any further?
Re: Train sets!
There are plans to add a 2nd level to the setup but such are on hold atm due to virus-related restrictions and other priorities.

Re: Train sets!
Hello everyone,
The railroad has been operating again recently but once again its only the loading and transport of grain and malt barley. Its passenger train may be operating again soon but nothing is guaranteed at this time.
